Jean-Claude Lord (June 6, 1943 – January 15, 2022) was a Canadian film and television director, screenwriter, film editor and producer. In his career he directed various cinema and TV films, including productions such as Das Horror-Hospital, Daffy and the Whale, Mindfield or curse of memory .[1]
Jean-Claude Lord, born in Montreal in 1943, began writing and producing the film in 1964 trouble party his career. As a director, he wrote and directed the 1966 film drama deliver us from evil His first own production starring Jacques Bilodeau, Catherine Bégin and Yvon Deschamps. Lord has made numerous feature films and television films, and has also worked as a director since 1986 on episodes for television series.
In the 1980s he made several international feature films, including the 1982 horror thriller Das Horror-Hospital with Michael Ironside and Lee Grant, 1984 the romantic drama Covergirl starring Jeff Conaway and Irena Ferris, the 1985 action drama Toby McTeague with Yannick Bisson, the 1986 science fiction thriller Micro-Chip-Man with David McIlwraith and Teri Austin, 1988 the family comedy Daffy and the Whale1989 the music film Eddy is alive with Michael Paré and Marina Orsini and the thriller Mindfield starring Michael Ironside, Lisa Langlois and Christopher Plummer.
In 1992 the thriller was created for the big screen curse of memory with Anthony Edwards and Tom Burlinson. In 2002 he shot with the film North Station with Benoît Brière and Xavier Morin-Lefort his last work for the cinema.
Lord passed away on January 15, 2022 at the age of 78 in his native city of Montreal from complications of a stroke.
