Jakarta –
Ecommerce JD.ID officially closed as of Friday 31 March 2023. This online shopping service site is now inaccessible.
From detikcom’s search, the JD.ID site has been redirected to a Chinese language page with the address global.jd.com. The site displays a number of items being sold in Chinese currency.
In addition, the JD.ID application on the PlayStore also disappeared. The closure of JD.ID had previously been announced in early 2023.
This information was obtained through the official JD.ID website. It was stated that all JD.ID services will effectively stop on March 31, 2023.
In addition, the company will also stop accepting orders as of February 15, 2023.
“It is with great regret that we announce that JD.ID will stop accepting orders from February 15, 2023,” the company said in a statement on Saturday (1/4/2023).
Furthermore, JD.ID gives time for all user partners and sellers to complete their transactions until the end of March 2023. Now that period has ended.
JD.ID was hit by a storm of layoffs in December 2022. Around 200 employees were laid off (PHK) on the grounds that this termination was carried out to adapt to the challenges of rapidly changing business.
As quoted from its official website, JD.id is a subsidiary of one of the largest online stores in Asia (JD.com). JD.ID was present in Indonesia in 2015 and citing iPrice data, at the end of December 2022, JD.ID is the e-commerce with the 10th largest traffic in Indonesia. Apart from Tokopedia, Shopee and Blibli in the top three, other sites and applications such as Klik Indomaret, Zalora and Orami are also on top of JD.ID.
