Bisnis.comJAKARTA – Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) reach all time high (ATH) or the highest in history at the level of 7,323.58 in the first trading of 2024, Tuesday (2/1/2024). The JCI rate is predicted to be positive in line with sentiment January Effect.
PJS Corporate Secretary Indonesia stock exchange (BEI) Kautsar Primadi Nurahmad said that the IHSG record for early 2024 surpassed the previous record, with the highest IHSG closing position of all time occurring on September 13 2022 at the level of 7,318.01.
Not only that, IDX market capitalization also touched its highest record in history by reaching IDR 11,768 trillion from the previous record of IDR 11,762 trillion on December 28, 2023.
“This reflects the optimism of market players and stakeholders in the Indonesian capital market in starting 2024,” said Kautsar in his statement on Tuesday, (2/1/2024).
At the beginning of 2024, JCI parked at 7,323.58, gaining 0.70% or 50.79 points from the close of trading last week. The composite index moved in the range of 7,245 to 7,323 in today’s trading.
For your information, the first IDX trading opening this year was inaugurated by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Ma’ruf Amin at the BEI Main Hall Tuesday, (2/1/2024). In Tuesday’s trading, 13.35 billion shares were traded with a frequency of 924,952 times, resulting in a transaction value reaching IDR 6.80 trillion.
MNC Sekuritas analyst Herditya Wicaksana said January Effect In early 2024, it is estimated that this will happen, so the JCI has the potential to strengthen in the short term.
“IHSG has the opportunity to retest resistance 7,308-7,320. Technically, we are observing that BRPT, UNTR and ITMG can be observed with a buy recommendation,” said Herditya to Business on Tuesday, (2/1/2024).
MNC Sekuritas recommends buying BRPT shares owned by conglomerate Prajogo Pangestu with a target price of IDR 1,475-IDR 1,575 per share. Furthermore, UNTR shares belonging to the Astra Group are also recommended to buy with a target of IDR 23,500-IDR 24,250, and also ITMG with a target of IDR 26,600-IDR 27,525 per share.

JCI on Friday (5/1/2024) closed down 0.12% or 9.14 points to 7,350.61. JCI moved in the range of 7,350 to 7,403 in today’s trading.
A total of 18.66 billion shares were traded with a transaction value of IDR 9.90 trillion in 1.25 million transactions. A total of 237 shares rose, 294 shares weakened, and 236 shares stagnated. Market capitalization IDR 11,815 trillion.
