KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) narrowed its decline at the close of trading on Thursday (2/9). Citing data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) via RTI, the JCI fell 0.21% to 6,078.22 at the close of trading.
Four of the 11 sectors on the IDX fell. The sectors that fell were the technology sector at 2.03%, the primary consumer goods sector at 1.55%, the financial sector at 0.44%, and the property and real estate sector at 0.28%.
Meanwhile, the sectors that strengthened the most were the transportation and industrial sectors with 2.19% and 1.07% respectively.
The total trading volume on the IDX reached 20.59 billion shares with a total transaction value of Rp 9.34 trillion. There were 277 stocks that fell, 210 stocks that rose and another 160 stocks were stagnant. Foreign investors noted net sell or net selling of Rp 91.63 billion in all markets.

Foreign investors noted net sell largest share in PT Bank Jago Tbk (ARTO) Rp 67.8 billion. ARTO’s shares fell 3.10% to Rp 14,050 per share. The total trading volume of ARTO shares reached 25.56 million with a transaction value of Rp 360.0 billion.
Foreign investors also sold the shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) IDR 54.2 billion. BBRI shares fell 0.51% to Rp 3,870 per share. The total trading volume of BBRI shares reached 112.15 million with a transaction value of Rp 433.1 billion.
Shares of PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) was also sold by foreigners for Rp 45.0 billion. BBNI shares closed down 1.41% to Rp 5,250 per share. The total trading volume of BBNI’s shares reached 16.43 million with a transaction value of Rp. 86.5 billion.
