Jazz icon Kamelia Todorova appeared in the “Icing on the Cake” in the height of summer and, as expected, turned her participation into a cult spectacle for the audience. Not everything about it, however, appealed to boss Manchev, who at one point got so angry with her that later the viewers made him feel like nothing, writes show.blitz.bg.
The singer welcomed her guests with an improvised menu and a very good mood and was especially frank about her personal life in front of them. The menu included a sour cream cake with a secret ingredient that the singer did not reveal, a green Georgian salad with red beans and an interesting Arabic dish that attracted everyone’s attention, but made the demanding Ivan Manchev significantly raise his eyebrows.
“Skills in the kitchen are related to skills in intimate life,” declared a 69-year-old lady and continued in this spirit throughout the evening. In the end, her guests had a great time, but Chef Manchev did not like her performance at all, probably because of the presence of an unfamiliar Arab dish on the table.
“I praised you a little while ago and now we start making the bulamachi. Potatoes, rice, turmeric do not go together at all. This has passed by the French kitchen. You cook something in between Chirpan style meatballs and wine kebab. There is something in this manja,” he declaimed from the side.
“For a person who has been cooking all his life, I expected much more. Your salad and dessert turned out well, but the main thing was a really total improvisation. I hope the guests will be satisfied”, some critics and some of the viewers did not spare, however, most of them liked Kamelia Todorova’s performance and, of course, seriously attacked Chef Manchev for his excessive perfectionism at times.

To present something surprising and different is a real challenge”, “She was taken over, she didn’t invite home… well, her dinner turned out, it was interesting, there was a nice atmosphere. And I liked it a lot, because Kamelia Todorova is a great jazz singer. No matter how offensive things you write, she remains Kamelia. We should learn to appreciate people like her, in my opinion”, are just some of the numerous comments of those who were excited by seeing net viewers.
