Jayson Tatum’s warning to his Boston Celtics teammates

The 2023/24 season was finally the one that saw the project of Boston Celtics led by Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown win the NBAWith a dream team, the Massachusetts franchise had virtually no rivals throughout the year, and got that long-awaited 18th championship ring, which they now have to defend.

Tatum himself recently spoke out in a statement collected by The Athletic. In it, the Celtics star says that the next championship ring is on his mind all the time, and asks his teammates to focus on that.

“I’m of the mindset that after ring night, in a weird way, we have to put that behind us,” he said. “Last year was last year. We got it done. It was a dream come true. We worked our butts off for it. But after ring night, we have to move on. We have to get ready for Game 2.”

Tatum forgets Olympic shame

Steve Kerr hasn’t made many friends in Boston. After being the best player on the best team in the NBA during the season, Tatum was snubbed by Team USA’s coach during the Olympics. Despite this, the player is still moving forward.

“I’m always a glass-half-full kind of guy,” Tatum said. “I always believe that everything happens for a reason and whatever it is, I don’t know yet. But I’m sure I’ll figure it out.”
