It was a great day to be a Celtics fan in NBA. Already the idea of the confrontation of the evening against the 76ers was rather kiffante. On top of that, Netflix treated us, Boston fans or not, to a 3-hour documentary on the INCREDIBLE life and career of Bill Russell. To watch absolutely. But back to tonight’s game and another court legend, Luke Kornet.
We obviously tease, whatever the pivot replacement of the Celtics has recently made a name for himself with his fake long counter attempts. But it must be recognized that this good old Luke is not especially known for his athletic qualities. Tonight against Joel Embiid’s 76ers, the interior was going to have a lot to do, and his opponent did not fail to gently mock his unacademic technique, after scoring an open shot from the parking lot while Luke Kornet performed his famous “jump into the void” to hide his visibility.

A bit like a Scalabrine in his time, Luke Kornet enjoys a certain sympathy with the public, proving in the midst of all these athletic monsters that a player can make his mark in his own way. Always active and smiling, we understand why the TD Garden has made it one of its favorites.
