“The Source” magazine ranks the 30 most influential hip-hop artists. The first place is convincingly occupied by Jay-Z. The rapper has won as many as 8 Grammy awards. He is the co-founder of Rocawear, a clothing manufacturing company. Jay-Z also owns the New Jersey Nets basketball team. The singer is currently working on his new album “Blueprint 3”. The new album should be released on September 11, 2009. It will also be the rapper’s 11th album.
