Javits Center begins vaccinating people aged 60 and over

Starting today, Wednesday the 10th, the state expands the eligibility measures for millions of New Yorkers who, from now on, can sign up to receive the vaccine, from 60 years of age onwards.

Additionally, all immunization centers in the state will be able to serve anyone eligible.

The new eligible group may call to make an appointment or go to the center of their choice. Previously, the age established for inoculation was 65 years.

However, pharmacies will only administer doses to people over 60 and teachers.

Any government employee who, due to the nature of his work, comes into contact with the public may also be vaccinated.

Within this eligible group are emergency management employees, essential public servants and area workers in public buildings.
