Javier Milei led the ceremony to hand over the Hercules donated by the US


Javier Milei met in Ushuaia with Laura Richardson, US General: “Sovereignty is not defended with isolationism”

President Javier Miley led a brief event tonight from Ushuaia, in the company of the head of the United States Southern Command, Laura Richardsonin which he reaffirmed his strategic alliance with Washington and announced that they will advance with the development of the comprehensive naval base. “Sovereignty is not defended with isolationism,” he said.

The president arrived at around 11:21 p.m. to the Patagonian city, accompanied by the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei; the defense minister, Luis Petri; and the chief of staff, Nicolas Posse.

Upon getting off the plane, the head of state greeted the military personnel and airport workers. He then held a meeting with the general Richardson, in which the US ambassador to Argentina also participated, Marc Stanley and the Minister of Defense, Petri.

Minutes after midnight, the president spoke at an improvised event, accompanied by the representatives of the United States, Richardson and Stanley, whom he thanked for the visit.
