The United States hopes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) will use the Javelin anti-tank missile systems for self-defense. At the same time, the Pentagon said that they do not tie their application to specific regions.

“We expect that they (Javelin ATGMs – Ed.) Will be used responsibly and for self-defense purposes,” Kirby said during the briefing.
The Pentagon spokesman added that the weapons allocated to Ukraine belong to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their use is not tied to specific regions of the country.
