Javelin thrower Chaksh triumphs in competitions in the Czech Republic / Article / LSM.lv

Latvian javelin thrower Gatis Čakšs triumphed on Tuesday in the Golden Spike competition in the Czech city of Ostrava, according to the organizers.

In the first attempt, Gatis sent a spear 79.48 meters in the second – 81.24, in the third 80.16, in the fourth 81.87, but did not count the fifth attempt. The sixth attempt brought Chaksha victory – he sent a spear 83.41 meters.

Polish javelin thrower Marcin Krukowski took second place, while Czech Vitezlav Veselij remained in third place. Only six athletes took part in the men’s competition.

Meanwhile, in the competition of seven athletes, the fourth place was won by Līna Mūze, who in the best attempt spear 62.86 meters, reaching such a result in the first attempt.

The ladies’ competition was won by housewife and Olympic and world champion Barbora Špotākova, who reached 65.19 meters in the first attempt, Maria Andrejčika from Poland took the second place with 63.59 meters, and Nikolai Ogorodnikova from the Czech Republic took the third place with 62.96 meters. .
