Actually, Günther Jauch can hardly fool anyone. But the moderator now admitted that he fell for a nasty scam.
He should probably be one of the smartest men on German TV. For almost 23 years he has been asking his candidates the trickiest questions on “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”. So it’s clear that he’s also taking a lot of knowledge with him.
Before that, Jauch was still really green behind his ears. He now confessed that on his show himself.
“How can you be so stupid?”
He told one candidate that he was ripped off in New York when he was 16. He bet against a shell player that he would find the ball. Stake: $100.
Of course, the then young Jauch was tricked. But instead of admitting defeat, the moderator marched to the nearest police patrol. But he didn’t get any help there, just a bored look that was supposed to tell him: “How can you be so stupid?”
Jauch should have learned from his mistake.
