Jasper Troy Released From WWE NXT Amid Ongoing Roster Cuts
As the professional wrestling calendar shifts toward roster consolidations, World Wrestling Entertainment has begun a new round of cuts within its developmental brand, according to reports from PWInsider and F4WOnline. Former Speed Champion Jasper Troy has departed the company as part of ongoing NXT releases, ending a tenure that began when the 28-year-old signed in the summer of 2022 after playing college football at the University of Kansas and the University of Northern Iowa.
Social Media Confirmation and Non-Compete Timelines
Troy seemingly confirmed his departure on social media on Friday, by posting “30 Days🖤” on X and pinning the message to the top of his profile. PWInsider reported that while developmental cuts are ongoing, no main roster wrestlers are expected to be affected by this specific wave of talent reductions.

The departure concludes an active four-year developmental run for the athlete. Troy originally joined the organization after collegiate football stints at the University of Kansas and the University of Northern Iowa. He gained early visibility as the men’s winner of season one of WWE LFG on A&E. During his time in the developmental system, he captured the WWE Speed Championship by defeating El Grande Americano on the November 11, 2025, episode of NXT. He held the belt until February 24, 2026, when he dropped it to Elio LeFleur in a triple threat match that also featured Eli Knight.
Final Matches and Brand Rebranding
According to F4WOnline reporting managed by Ian Carey, Troy’s final match for the organization took place at an NXT house show in Gainesville, Florida, on August 22, 2026. At that event, he teamed with Elijah Holyfield to secure a victory over Shido Ash and Viktor Zanov. Following his departure and the public posting of his non-compete window, Troy has updated his digital footprint, changing his professional handle and name to Kairo Reign across social media platforms.
