Jason Schreier: Rocksteady has been working on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League since 2017

Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier amid general dissatisfaction with the fresh show Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League toldthat Rocksteady has been working on the game since 2017.

According to him, after Batman: Arkham Knight, the company was engaged in Batman Arkham VR, and also canceled a certain game. Schreier wrote that Rocksteady never worked on a Superman title, so it’s something else.

Schreier also noted that the negative around Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, primarily due to the fact that the genre of game-services has already tired the audience. If she had come out a couple of three years earlier, then probably the reviews were different.

One of the problems with modern big-budget video games that take 5-6 years to make is that trends that were relevant in 2017, such as service games, may be less attractive in 2023.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Releases May 26 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
