Jason Schreier contradicts the report that no one is working on the KOTOR remake

Claims to be in contact with people still working on it.

There has been some uproar surrounding the remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Embracer boss Lars Wingefors would not comment on the game because “everything I say makes headlines”, and then game journalist Jeff Grubb claimed that no one is currently working on the game at all.

Now, however, he receives a counterstab from another gaming journalist, and it is the well-reputed Jason Schreier from Bloomberg. On the Resetera forum comments he Grubb’s statement by saying that he has spoken to two people who both say they are still working on the game, and that he therefore does not believe the claim that no one is working on development.

However, he is careful to point out that this does not mean that the remake will actually be released or that it will be of high quality. Either way, it’s a glimmer of hope for anyone who wants to see the remake come to fruition, and let’s hope Embracer gets it all straightened out and gives the storied game the love it deserves.
