“As the ambassador of “Shark Week”, I am very excited to go on this adventure with the audience. This project is not only an opportunity for me to talk about sharks for a week. It is an opportunity to gain new knowledge and share the excitement about these wonderful creatures with other underwater inhabitants. My loves “The roots of anti-sharks are deep – it appeared long before I appeared in the movie ‘Aquaman,'” explains Momoa.

During “Shark Week”, viewers can watch various exciting documentaries, go on an educational adventure and get acquainted with new scientific discoveries. Adrenaline-inducing shark movies are the fruit of the hard work of Discovery’s science and research team, giving audiences around the world a chance to see sharks in a different light.

From July 24, the movie “Alien Sharks: Strange New Worlds” is available to viewers, in which natural biologist Forest Galante explores the underwater world and ocean depths in South Africa, where sharks with unusual appearance and peculiar behavior live.

“Monster Hammerheads: Killer Instinct” is available from July 27, in which Dr. Tristan Guttridge will attempt to obtain tissue samples from the world’s largest sharks in order to prove that hammerhead sharks can reach mind-boggling sizes thanks to their “meals” – other shark species.

On the other hand, on July 28, the premiere of the film “Jaws vs. The Meg” will take place, where viewers will be able to get acquainted with new discoveries, which indicate that the great white shark could be the reason for the extinction of the megalodon, a prehistoric shark species.

Meanwhile, in “Deadly Sharks of Paradise,” a team of scientists, joined by marine biologist Danny Washington and shark conservationist Paul de Gelder, investigate tiger sharks that may be responsible for an increase in deadly attacks in South America since 1990.

On July 31, viewers will be able to watch the intriguing film “Serial Killer: Red Sea Attacks”, in which shark attack researcher Brandon McMillan and cinematographer Fo Zayed will try to find an explanation for three recent deadly shark attacks off the coast of the Red Sea in Egypt.
