Five years ago they swore eternal love, now everything is over: Jasmin Wagner (40), better known as the 90s singer Blümchen, is divorcing her Swiss husband Frank Sippel (48) after eight years of relationship.

In an interview with the podcast of the women’s magazine “Grazia”, the singer revealed the news: “I’m getting a divorce”, she made clear at the beginning of the episode published on Christmas Eve. That’s why she is currently spending a lot of time with her “core friends”, it feels like “coming home”. Wagner and Sippel tied the knot in St. Moritz in February 2015.

Divorce party planned
The “heart to heart” singer is even planning a divorce party. After waiting a year for this moment, overcoming numerous hurdles and working towards this end of the marriage, you can celebrate that too. “You then celebrate life that is full of success but also failure, whereby the latter can also be an opportunity,” she says.

The musician does not reveal whether bad blood flowed between her and the entrepreneur during the divorce. However, she gives indications that things are looking good between her and her husband. “Ideally, by then, my ex-husband can also come to the divorce party,” she says. Her friends and the people who support her in her divorce year are also invited.

Blümchen, meanwhile, would find it amusing to match a cliché. “A friend of mine will have the typical Corona baby, I’ll have the typical Corona divorce,” she says with a laugh. So the divorce definitely doesn’t seem like a situation that upsets the singer.

The singer also spoke about her time in the nineties. She was a fan of boy bands at the time and suddenly she shared the stage with the Backstreet Boys and * NSync. And suddenly she made out with Nick Carter (40) and Justin Timberlake (39). “I was a teenager and had to make out and it was just these boy band people,” she said. “There was really nothing else there, I would have liked to make out with normal boys.”

Separation rumors about Sippel and Wagner have been around for a long time: A close friend already told the German “Bild” in August: “After all these years the two have grown apart. Jasmin went more and more her way and Frank his. Now it was no longer possible. ” (imh)
