Within the framework of Fashion Week in New York, the Jalisco designer Jasive Fernández presented for the first time her new platform “MM México Moda”, a collective made up of Mexican firms to publicize her “Liberación” collection. This was inspired by the story of businesswoman Claudia Montesinos and took place on February 12 in New York City.
Through the platform that seeks to promote the emerging design Global Fashion Collective, the Mexican designer debuted on the catwalk together with the team of associated Mexican brands such as Cuadra, teaches that it provided its footwear, Elisheva and Constance, which added accessories and jewelry, and Illi México , a firm that added a series of bags to the final sets of Fernández’s proposal.
The “Liberation” collection featured 12 outfits, which included pieces created in silk and lace such as tops, dresses, and voluminous skirts in a range of colors ranging from green, black, white, and gray, in harmony with the exotic leathers of the footwear. de Cuadra, statement jewelry from Elisheva and Constance and details from Illi Mexico.
“The fact of representing Mexico in the most important Fashion Week in the world united us. In the next edition we would love to bring 3 groups to form Mexico Day here at New York Fashion Week,” Fernández said in a statement.
The Mexican firm anticipates that it is preparing a second presentation of the MM México Moda collective in the next edition of Vancouver Fashion Week, which will take place in April.
The Mexican fashion platform is looking for new firms to join the MM México Moda team, which intends to present different brands at each event.
