JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk closed part of the Toll Road Jakarta-Cikampek over the next few days along with routine maintenance activities for reconstruction rigid pavement.
General Manager Representative Office 1 Jasamarga Transjawa Tollroad Regional Division Widiyatmiko Nursejati stated that this closure had been going on since last night, Sunday (21/3/2021) at 19.00 WIB.
“Engineering that leads to Cikampek will open traffic pada Friday (26/3/2021) at 17.00 WIB, “he said in a written statement, Monday (22/3/2021).

Widi said that as long as the work is in progress, lane 2 will be temporarily closed until the work is finished, while the other lane can be used normally.
The closure, he said, was carried out in the area of lane 2 which is being repaired starting from Kilometer (Km) 25 + 677 to Km 25 + 935 with three work points, namely Km 25 + 677 to Km 25 + 744 along 67 meters.
Then, at Km 25 + 805 to Km 25 + 815, it is 10 meters long, and Km 25 + 870 to Km 25 + 935 with a handling length of 65 meters.
“All work points are on lane 2 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road leading to Cikampek,” said Widi.
He admitted that the reconstruction work was in order to improve road quality and provide road user comfort.
This is also done in order to meet the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) on the freeway.

Jasa Marga has prepared risk mitigation as a precaution in case of congestion traffic in the form of diversion of the affected traffic flow before the work area.
This is done by narrowing down the work area to lane 2, and preparing a counter-direction scheme or contraflow when the condition is solid.

“Jasa Marga also prepares job security signs according to standards, prepares traffic control officers, and ensures that officers maintain health protocols at work sites,” he said.
Jasa Marga apologizes to toll road users for the inconvenience caused by the work.
Jasa Marga also urges road users to anticipate trips before using toll roads.
