The Cleveland Cavaliers could get a major boost heading into the decider play-in against Atlanta. The Ohioans have included Jarrett Allen on the questionable list ahead of that game, which means that the center could make his return in the most important duel of the season. Those from Bickerstaff will play the pass to the playoffs in a life or death clash, and count on their center of reference would certainly be essential for your options.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, a journalist from ESPNAllen continues to experience pain from his broken finger, but sees himself as having a chance to play. In his words, the chances of him doing so are 50/50, so it seems that we will have to wait practically until the last minute to see if he can finally be in the game.
Jarrett has been out of the game since March 6 due to a broken finger, and it hasn’t been hard to notice his absence from the team. The Ohio team signed a balance of 7-12 in the 19 games they have lost, including the first of play-in against the Nets, in which his presence in the paint would have been vital in stopping the cuts to the basket of men like Andre Drummond or Bruce Brown. Against the Hawks, a team whose offense almost always starts from the pick & rollhis defensive presence could be very important in containing his game, while his ability to add on offense would also help a Cavs too reliant on Darius Garland at times.
And it is that Allen comes from averaging no less than 16.1 points, 10.8 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in the 58 duels played this year, numbers that made him worthy of his first appearance in the All-Star. Cleveland’s options go largely through his presence, so we will have to be attentive to his situation in the run-up to the clash, since it seems that at least he is going to try to be in the game.
