Life like a book

Who is Jarosław Jakimowicz? According to Wikipedia, he is “a model, actor, TV presenter”. He was born in 1969 and raised in the Warsaw district of Wola. He graduated from a mechanical technical school. Mainly his grandparents looked after him. As reported by “Press”, when he was 19, he left for Germany. Jarosław Jakimowicz wrote about his life abroad in his autobiography entitled “Life Like a Movie”, released in 2019.

He describes there, among others yours working with a gang of thieves, stealing TV sets, alcohol and leather. Supposedly sentenced first to community service for an attack on a post office in Germany, he was eventually sent to prison for four months. “We started thieving maneuvers with Bundepost, that is German post. Simply put, we robbed her. We had our patent for it” – he reported in the book. But in an interview with Press, he explained that this was gross exaggeration. It was really about puppy antics, and he didn’t really hurt anyone.

The book also includes a paragraph after which the Center for Monitoring Racist and Xenophobic Behavior notified the prosecutor’s office. It is – as the Center wrote – Fr. an alleged attempt to dig a grave in the Jewish cemetery, “to get to the deceased person and rob the grave of any valuables that they expected to find there.” Everything was supposed to happen in the 1980s.

How does Jakimowicz comment on this? – We were waiting for a fresh burial. It happened. We thought – some casket buried in the sand. We started taking off fresh flower bouquets. We had not yet knocked the shovels down when the cemetery administrator appeared out of nowhere. It was a life-long lesson for us – he described “Press”, blaming everything on his youthful naivety. The description of the “purchase proposal for a 12-year-old Tajka” was also widely commented on.

– For the purposes of his biography, he made history more colorful. Coloring his life – it is typical for him – said Dariusz Janas, a former policeman and a longtime acquaintance of Jakimowicz.

All the sensational stories that are described in my book, Life Like a Film, are artistic fictionwhich was aimed at increasing sales. It is hard for me to believe in the naivety of those who persistently click on a maniac, comment on the information that the Center for Monitoring Racist and Xenophobic Behavior and other portals give them. My book is an adventure book, which I have always said “- Jakimowicz explained on Instagram.

Jakimowicz’s former friend: I thought I knew him

In 1995 Jakimowicz got the role of Cichy in the film “Young Wolves” by Jarosław Żamojda. He did not repeat the success later. – I’ve always been pushed away. I have always been a stranger – he said in June 2019 on radio Wnet, which is quoted by “Press”. Currently he works as a presenter and commentator on TVP.

Facebook several times already blocked his access to the accounts. The Center for Monitoring Racist and Xenophobic Behavior also has a lot to accuse him of. – Jakimowicz willingly insults everyone who does not fit the vision of “one party, one nation, one leader” – Konrad Dulkowski, president of OMZRiK, said in an interview with “Press”. Meanwhile, Jakimowicz explains that he never deliberately offends anyone.

The author of the article in the “Press” magazine writes: “Image experts believe that two things will be crucial for Jakimowicz’s future. Court verdict on charges of rape and changes on the political scene. “And his friends (or former acquaintances) believe that he is no longer the same Jakimowicz as he used to be.” I thought I knew him. But I do not recognize him, “sums up my old friend Dariusz Janas, quoted by” Press ” .
