Jaroslav Hanuš († 70): What other actions does the director have on his account?

Jaroslav Hanuš died at the age of 70. He was the director of the successful television series Life at the Castle and Sleeping Beauty, but he has more works to his credit!

Hanuš’s most famous work is Life at the Castle with Tomáš Töpfer in the lead role, whose 52 parts he shot from spring 1994 to October 1998 in Kolín and at Rozťaž Castle.

This was followed in 2001 by the family series Sleeping Beauty, in which the creators used the motif of a well-known fairy tale about the awakening of a sleeping princess in the story of a woman who lost her vitality after a divorce. In 2004, Czech Television completed another Hanuš series, the ten-part Náměstíčko with Luba Skořepová and Josef Vinklář in the lead roles.

Hanuš was born on August 20, 1951 in Prague. He graduated from FAMU. He has worked with television for a long time – in the 1990s he directed, for example, the cycle Magic Kindergarten, Expeditions for Discovery, Ten Minutes with …, but also several short stories in the Bachelors series. He collaborated with screenwriter Jan Míka.

Hanuš’s other directorial works include the television fairy tales Křesadlo, Sofia and the Stolen Treasure, Restaurace U prince, 100 + 1 princezna and Lojzička je číslo.
