RSD today the construction of “I/33 Jaroměř, bypass” was put into operation. The 6.5 km long construction diverted transit traffic from the I/33 road from Jaroměř and the villages of Čáslavsky, Dolany and Svinišťany. Part of the construction, which is connected to the D11 highway near Hořenice, is, among other things, a 457 m long flyover over the Elbe,” said Radek Mátl, director of the ŘSD on the social network X.

The bypass connects to the current end of the D11 highway near Hořenice, north of Jaroměř, and in Velké Třebešov it connects to the Česká Skalice bypass.

Over 15,000 vehicles passed through the villages and center of Jaroměř on the original road every day, a significant part of which were trucks. The long-awaited and desired bypass thus brings local residents relief from the traffic burden. Approximately one third of the new bypass was already viewed by thousands of people on Saturday, August 24. The “Open Door Day” offered the opportunity to ride a bicycle, scooter or roller skates here before cars hit the road. In beautiful weather and about two weeks before full operation, the Directorate of Roads and Highways invited all interested parties from Jaroměř and the surrounding area to see what was being built here.

This is what the bypass looks like from a bird’s eye view:
