Tomorrow Wednesday is the day of the census at the national level, for this reason it is a holiday, although this measure is evaluated by the merchants in the city of Jardín América.
With respect to being able to open the doors or not tomorrow, Wednesday, business owners in different areas show disparate situations when it comes to serving the public or not.
In this sense, a national public accountant, in dialogue with El Territorio, expressed: “I am going to work behind closed doors because I am fully booked with the tax due dates for the month and even though my work is not listed as essential, the workload that we have does not allow us to lose days, not even holidays, when we have maturities close”.
In another case, a merchant in the field of sale of aluminum openings specified that he prefers to serve the public normally. “I am calm because I have already done the digital census, I do not have to close if I am already registered and someone in my family can give the census taker the code that was provided from the web.”
On the other hand, there are those who are still evaluating what action to take in this regard. In this case, El Territorio spoke with the owner of a store and the owner of a Minimarket. Both agreed that they are going to debate whether to open the doors tomorrow morning or wait for the census taker to arrive at their respective homes and then go to their businesses.
In turn, there are cases that presented the possibility of opening in the afternoon, such as places where there is a 5-a-side soccer field to rent by the hour. While there are people who prefer to abide by the holiday to avoid possible problems. Regarding this last case, a baker said: “Unfortunately we have to close, we cannot risk the police coming and if they close my business I will lose all my products.”
