Mexican-American Jaime Jáquez and the Miami Heat had a difficult start to the NBA season when they fell 116-97 against the Orlando Magic, a duel of Florida franchises.
Jáquez, who was considered last season as one of the best rookies in the tournament, had a discreet performance now by adding only 13 points in just 19 minutes of play.
It was a gloomy duel for the Heat since none of the leaders reached ten points. Jimmy Butler scored just 3 points in a series of 1-8 shots, while center Bam Adebayo stayed at 9 (1-5).

Bucks beat the 76ers
Led by Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the starless Philadelphia 76ers 124-109.
Both Joel Embiid, leader of the Sixers, and Paul George, the big signing of the year, missed the team’s premiere due to physical problems.
The Cameroonian center was out for the entire preseason due to a process to protect his left knee that also kept him out of the next two games. George, on the other hand, also suffered a bruise on his left knee in a preseason game.
The Bucks took advantage of the losses to win a comfortable away victory on the back of Lillard and Antetokounmpo, a duo with a lot to prove in their second year together.
The point guard scored 30 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 triples. The Greek power forward, for his part, achieved 25 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists, but continues to have serious problems from the personnel line with a mediocre 9-16.
For the locals, point guard Tyrese Maxey assumed offensive responsibility with 25 points but on the basis of making 31 shots from the field, of which he scored 10.
First Spanish coach debuts
Jordi Fernández became the first Spanish coach to coach an NBA game in history when he coached the Brooklyn Nets, although he did so with a 120-116 loss against the Atlanta Hawks.
