Tuning workshop Kuhl presented several seriously modified Toyota RAV4 crossovers at the Tokyo Motor Show. Thanks to the special VRAVRA Mars kit, an ordinary family SUV turns into more of a military vehicle.
The set of proposed improvements of the tuning studio changes the popular crossover almost beyond recognition. The car gets different grilles, a sculpted front hood, an off-road bumper with cutouts on the sides for fog lights and wider fenders.
The rear fenders are also more flared than standard, and the lower parts of the doors and side sills are covered with massive strips of uncolored plastic. The crossovers also feature new side mirror housings and an imposing spoiler above the rear window.
The visual effects are completed with a raised suspension, new 17-inch wheels and Dunlop Grantrek AT5 all-terrain tires that improve traction when the asphalt ends and the off-road begins. With all these improvements, the Toyota RAV4 looks more like a military vehicle, and from some angles, even a Lamborghini Urus.
True, we must not forget that under all this shell we still have a “parquet” RAV4 without a frame, gearbox and reinforced suspension. So you shouldn’t expect serious off-road qualities from it. How much does “pumping muscles” cost? The tuning package, including installation and painting, will cost 2.1 million yen, or about $16,000.
