Japanese Scientists Making Breakthroughs in Tooth Regeneration: A Promising New Drug Offers Hope for Missing Teeth

Al-Marsad newspaper: Japanese scientists are working on developing a new drug that allows teeth to regrow, providing an opportunity to treat missing teeth, and giving hope to the millions who live with dentures.

According to the British newspaper, the Daily Mail, scientists are scheduled to begin human trials of the drug designed to regrow teeth early next year.

The Japanese team hopes that the treatment will be circulated by 2030 if the experiments are successful and prove that there are no harmful effects from it in the human body.

Early tests showed that the drug helped mice and rodents regrow their teeth. The drug is intended for people who lack a full set of adult teeth for genetic reasons. But scientists have called it “every dentist’s dream.”
