BhaMany restaurants are renowned for their hospitality and local excellence. There are people flocking there. But Shachihokoya, a restaurant in Nagoya, Japan, is famous for its beats. ‘Yes… punching is the main thing here’.
On arrival at the restaurant, a dish called ‘Nagoya Lazy’s Slap’ has been added to the menu card. If you order food thinking it’s food, the ladies dressed in kimonos, traditionally worn by Japanese women, will pat you on the cheek and leave. Ironic as it may seem, the restaurant owner’s idea was a huge hit. People even came from abroad to pay money here to buy tal. They returned happily after buying and eating.
The Shachihokoya restaurant owner first came up with such an idea in 2012. At first only one woman was assigned to be beaten. As the incident became a hit, many women were appointed for this purpose. 300 yen (Rs. 170) is the charge to snatch a check from the hands of beautiful young women.
But recently, a video from the restaurant went viral on social media and criticisms were raised from various quarters. With this, the restaurant owner announced that they have stopped the beating program. Shachihokoya restaurant is no longer beaten. Thank you for being noticed. But Restaurant X also requested that no one should visit this place with the intention of getting beaten up.
