[아시아경제 손선희 기자] Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga showed a hoarse voice at the National Assembly on the 25th, raising health concerns. Prime Minister Suga reportedly explained that there was no abnormality in his health.

According to local media on the day, Prime Minister Suga attended the Budget Committee of the House of Representatives and responded hoarseness to the inquiries of lawmakers. When the House of Representatives Junya Ogawa of the Constitutional Democratic Party, the 1st opposition party, questioned her physical condition, Prime Minister Suga replied, “I have a sore throat so I can’t hear a voice, it’s very okay.”

At a regular press conference that afternoon, Kato Katsunobu, Secretary of State, was reported to have repeatedly explained that Prime Minister Suga’s physical condition was “there is no abnormality in his physical condition, and there is no obstacle to public affairs.” Minister Kato said, “I have a sore throat and cough.”

When asked if Prime Minister Suga was infected with the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19), he replied, “We are doing necessary tests,” but did not disclose the details of the tests.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Suga said, “We are aiming for June” about the timing of securing the quantity of Corona 19 vaccine required for all national vaccinations at the House Budget Committee. However, it is pointed out that confusion will result, unlike the statement made by Sakai Manabu, the Minister of Defense, saying that it is’expected’ securing in June.
