About 40 lawmakers from the Ilhwa Congressional Conference, a member of the Japanese non-partisan lawmakers’ union, are planning to visit Taiwan and meet with Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen.
It is reported that Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is coordinating a trip to the Philippines and Malaysia early next month, and analysis is that the purpose is to keep China in check.

About 40 members of the Japanese National Assembly from the Ilhwa National Assembly visited Taiwan.
The scale of the visit is the largest ever, and Ilhwa Assembly Chairman Keiji Furuya said that the role of the legislature is very important for peace in the Taiwan Strait.
At the same time, he emphasized that this visit was an expression of his intention to support Taiwan with ‘All Japan’.
The visiting lawmakers are expected to meet with President Tsai Ing-wen on the 10th to exchange opinions on the situation in Taiwan and the surrounding region.
The Japanese government refrained from commenting directly, saying that the situation was related to the National Assembly.
Stating that the stability of the Taiwan Strait is important to the security of Japan and the international community, it effectively checked China, which has recently continued its armed protests in the Taiwan Strait.

Separately, Koichi Hagiuda, chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party’s Political Affairs Research Committee, will also visit Taipei and Kaohsiung, Taiwan, for three days.
This is the first Liberal Democratic Party executive to visit Taiwan since Vice President Taro Aso last August.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Prime Minister Kishida is making arrangements to visit the Philippines and Malaysia from the 3rd to the 5th of next month.
Both the Philippines and Malaysia are in conflict with China over territorial issues.
The Sankei Shimbun analyzed that Prime Minister Kishida’s visit was aimed at deterring China from strengthening its effective rule in the South China Sea.
