Japanese fugitive Mitsuhiro Taniguchi Arrested in Kalirejo, Central Lampung

Police declared a police fugitive Japan named Mitsuhiro Taniguchi suspected of being in Indonesia have been arrested. The Japanese have revoked Mitsuhiro Taniguchi’s passport permit.

“MT (Mitsuhiro Taniguchi) has been secured by the immigration authorities after the Japanese revoked the passport in question,” said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Wednesday (8/6/2022).

Dedi said Mitsuhiro Taniguchi was arrested in Kalirejo, Central Lampung. The arrests were made at 22.30 WIB, yesterday.

“MT was secured while in Kalirejo, Central Lampung by the Bandar Lampung immigration authorities together with the Kalirejo Police, Central Lampung Police on Tuesday, June 7, 22 at 22.30 WIB,” he said.

He said Mitsuhiro Taniguchi would be followed up with the Immigration Act. He said Mitsuhiro would be handed over to the Directorate of Immigration Control and Enforcement.
