Japanese developers have put together the fake video games of the ads
You’ve probably run into it a few times (or rather a hundred times) in a prank advertisement. These short videos show a part of the gameplay of the promoted program – the only problem is that if you get the urge to download it after seeing the teaser, the real game offers a completely different experience, even if you look for the flashy-exciting elements/parts advertised.
An outstanding example of this kind of fall on its face is Hero Warswhich has almost 1,000 misleading ones advertisement there is: they promote a logic game full of puzzles, while in reality it is a warrior role-playing game.
Not to mention that they often appear in advertisements oversexualized depicted characters, but there is no trace of this element in the real RPG. But a good example of the phenomenon is Homescapesa Lily’s Gardena Mafia Citya Rise of Kingdomsa Rescue Hero or the Money Run 3D is.
Not only do these applications represent a completely different style than the camouflage versions seen in the promo videos, but they are also usually littered with all kinds of annoying advertisements and microtransactions.
There are also plenty of users on Reddit who are looking for the gaming experience seen in the fake trailers – to no avail. At least until now, because their day has finally come: the Japanese one Monkeycraft named video game developer decided to serve these needs.
They brought it together for 9.99 euros (available for about HUF 3,800), YEAH! YOU WANT „THOSE GAMES”, RIGHT? SO HERE YOU GO! NOW, LET’S SEE YOU CLEAR THEM! game, in which the games from the misleading ads were reproduced so that users could finally try them out.
The design was not pushed too far, stick figures were used instead of real characters, and of course the titles of the minigames were also changed, but it is easy to tell which is an animated fake game.
Monkeycraft got it right: they posted the sound just a few days ago YEAH! YOU WANT „THOSE GAMES,” RIGHT? SO HERE YOU GO! NOW, LET’S SEE YOU CLEAR THEM!-et, they already boast 169 reviews Steamenthe average of which very positive.
(Perhaps a similar case as when a Grindhouse for films, Robert Rodriguez made the never-existed Machete the trailer of the movie, and then the audience liked the trailer so much that they actually shot the movie.)
The program currently contains five minigames, but users want more and more: there are many wishes in the reviews for Monkeycraft to realize more and more minigames that exist only on video. In view of the great success, it is hoped that the sequel will not be missed.
