The Japanese automotive company has announced the CX-80 crossover, which will become available for order on the European market in a few weeks.
So far, only a short video has been published, which reveals the appearance of the rear side of the new model, but no big surprise awaits us, because the CX-80 is basically an extended CX-60 with the same technical filling.
The car will have a 250 mm longer wheelbase, a six-seater cabin with two individual seats in the second row or a configuration with a common sofa and seven seats. The CX-80 will get an original design rear bumper, larger windows behind the rear pillars of the body, chrome trim and more options already in the standard version.
The engines of the Mazda CX-80 will not differ from the CX-60: a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine and a V6 3.3 in-line turbodiesel, both with Mild Hybrid technology and the support of a small electric motor. The CX-60 also has a full-fledged hybrid modification based on a 2.5-liter gasoline engine.
European buyers will be able to order the flagship of the Mazda crossover range already in May, but we will see it in dealerships in the fall.
