Japan to Study India’s UPI Payment System: Benefits for Both Countries

Japan Digital Minister Kono Taro said that Japan will send a team to India to study UPI platform in India. Interested in working with Indian UPI payment system. He clarified this after the G7 meeting. (Indian UPI payment system is very good; Japan)

Kono Taro also urged India to support Japan’s proposal for a new international data organization. Collaboration with India’s UPI payment system is beneficial for both countries. He said that it will be very helpful for foreigners coming to Japan from India, Singapore and Thailand.

Several countries have already reached an agreement with the country’s payment system. Countries like Singapore, Bhutan, Nepal, Malaysia, Oman and UAE are working in cooperation with India. India’s digital payment service through RuPay is also working in many countries.
