Japan really shouldn’t buy Russia

Imagine, Japan, the sweetest country on earth, has saved for a long time and decides to make an offer for Russia. Isn’t that fantastic news? That those dear, dear, Japanese will become the masters of Russian territory? No, that wouldn’t be great news, because sooner or later things will rise again and the Japanese people will be kamikaze all over the world again.

And that is exactly why many gamers are quite positive about an acquisition of Activision by Microsoft. Microsoft has been doing a good job for years with gamepass, stimulating crossplay and an open attitude towards gamers. Activision, on the other hand, a disgusting company that tries to prevent even the smallest union from forming internally, not to mention the unsafe working atmosphere (fine!).

And even though Actvision is a dirty company, it’s a good thing that the UK now apparently doubts about that takeover. And the European Union is also extremely critical, because it would make Microsoft a much too big player in this industry. Also, don’t forget what Microsoft has already gobbled up in recent years. That is still going well, but as soon as Microsoft gets the chance to release a Call of Duty exclusively on Microsoft systems, they will do it. Or they use it as leverage to force Sony to allow an Xbox app on PlayStation.

Because make no mistake, Microsoft looks like Japan right now, but it remains, like any big company, a shareholder bitch.
