Japan is thinking of deploying 1,000 very long-array cruise missiles to raise its ability to counterattack China, the Yomiuri newspaper reviews.
Present missiles will be modified to extend their range from 100 kilometers to 1,000 kilometers, the newspaper said, citing federal government resources.
The missiles, introduced from ships or airplanes, would be deployed mostly all over the Nansey Islands and would be equipped to achieve the coastal spots of North Korea and China, writes “Yomiuri”.
