Japan’s sanctions against Russia include a ban on exports from the LDNR. They also concern the sovereign debt of the Russian Federation and the ban on the issuance of new Russian bonds.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida called on Russia to return to a diplomatic settlement of the situation around Ukraine.
“We have decided to take the following sanctions measures. Firstly, they concern the ban on issuing visas to representatives of the two so-called “republics”, as well as freezing their assets. Secondly, we are introducing measures to ban exports to the two “republics” and imports of them,” he said.
According to him, the sanctions against the Russian Federation also affect the sovereign debt of the Russian Federation and imply a ban on the issuance of new bonds related to it in Japan.
