Japan expels eight Russian diplomats


Vice Foreign Minister of Japan condemned the actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine and demanded the immediate withdrawal of troops from the country.

The Japanese authorities have announced that they are going to expel eight Russian diplomats from the country. Japanese Vice Foreign Minister Mori Takeo summoned Russian Ambassador Mikhail Galuzin to inform him of the decision, the TV channel reported. NHK with reference to the representative of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is noted that Mori told the ambassador that “the killings of many innocent civilians in Ukraine are gross violations of international law and constitute war crimes that are absolutely unacceptable.”

He also condemned Russia’s actions and demanded the immediate withdrawal of troops from Ukraine.

European countries expel more than 300 Russian diplomats

And in the meantime Embassy of Latvia resumed work in Kyiv. Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics thanked the diplomats working in Ukraine for their dedication and service.
