Let’s go for the last three days of the Montluçon Fair (Allier), these Friday 13, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October, at the Exhibition Center. And the least we can say is that visitors will not be bored…
Japan escape
“It’s a great first for the Montluçonnais basin, to welcome for three days a show on Japanese culture”, emphasizes with pleasure Sarah Prédeau, executive assistant of the organizer Monev, for the opening of Japan escape. “We are surfing on a theme which is very successful, particularly in big cities. It should therefore attract a lot of people and especially visitors that we are not used to seeing at our fair.”
Thus, on 2,100 m², amateurs and beginners alike will find retrogaming games areas, also with more recent consoles. But also manga drawing workshops, supervised by renowned mangakas. Drawing competitions will be open to all and activities offered by cosplayers. Without forgetting exhibitors who will offer, among other things, figurines and a wide range of derivative products.
The wedding salon
During these last three days, the Fair will also host the third Wedding Fair and its forty exhibitors. Over 600 m², the future bride and groom will be able to find out about everything relating to the happiest day of their lives. Without forgetting three fashion shows offered in the stage area of the “Carré trends” space, this Friday then Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m.
The automobile elegance contest
As for the “Les Belles Mécaniques fait la Foire” competition of elegance, it will bring together this Saturday, October 14, from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., twenty-five vehicles over thirty years old. Four categories will be awarded by a jury: “Ancestor until 1920”; “Pre-war until 1940”; “The Thirty Glorious Years until 1975”; and “The Youngtimers”. Plus a “Best of show”, with drivers and passengers wearing clothing related to the era of manufacture of their vehicle. A competition that Monev managers “intend to renew and develop”.

“The Automobile from yesterday to tomorrow”
Finally, there are also three days left to (re)discover the event theme, “The Automobile from Yesterday to Tomorrow”, “because it is, in the region, the most complete temporary museum in the history of automobile”, underlined François Roudier during the inauguration.
From the end of the 19th century to today, visitors can discover in just one hour and over 1,500 m² “the entire evolution of sports, luxury and popular vehicles that everyone buys”. An exhibition that is also very educational, with 37 explanatory panels and continuous film projection on three giant screens.
Without forgetting all the activities that have punctuated the Fair since its opening last Saturday. An edition which welcomes more than 300 exhibitors.
An “excellent first weekend” in terms of attendance at the Montluçon Fair [09/10/2023]
