Chinese and Russian military jets flew jointly over the Sea of Japan and the East China Sea as the leaders of the Quads (Japan, USA, India and Australia) discussed regional security in Tokyo.
The Japanese Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi reported this, specifying that Tokyo has expressed its “grave concerns” to the two countries. The Chinese tabloid Global Times wrote that the People’s Liberation Army sent more warships into the key straits near Japan after US provocations and Japanese remarks.
