The FIM, IRTA and Dorna have just announced the return of the Grand Prix of the Americas, on the circuit of Austin, Texas, from October 1 to 3.
MotoGP’s trip to Japan has indeed been canceled, a consequence of travel restrictions and a population that does not view the holding of major international sporting events. Like the Olympics in particular.
At the same time, for logistical reasons, the Grand Prix of Thailand is postponed by a week and will take place on October 17.
This calendar change is certainly not the last since serious threats continue to hang over the Australian Grand Prix, scheduled at Phillp Island on October 24. Travel restrictions remain very strict at present in Australia.
