We only know about him that he is 29 years old and that, in his own words, he wanted to meet the imperial family. Name and state of mind have not been revealed either by the police or by the mandarin officials of the Agency which oversees the management of every minute of the Tenno and the ceremonial.

The silence on the incredible intrusion that occurred on Saturday night in the residence of Emperor Naruhito and several other family members – in the Akasaka Palace area, separated from the actual Imperial Palace – perhaps due to the embarrassment created by the young Japanese who revealed some unforgivable security holes. In fact, as reported by the television station Fuji News Network (Fnn), the anonymous fan of the emperor entered the complex located in the homonymous district in central Tokyo, passing through the west carriage gate, the one that gives access to the State Foresteria, where important guests on official visits are usually hosted. Protected by a double white self-propelled bar not higher than one meter and twenty, but theoretically guarded 24 hours a day by cameras and armed guards, the entrance was easily passed because, apparently, no one was actually in their place. Thus, perhaps surprised himself at how easy the passage, the man ventured along the avenues that connect the various residences, from that of Naruhito, his wife Masako and daughter, Princess Aiko, to that of Prince Akishino, brother of Naruhito and father of the future emperor, Hisahito. For two hours no one stopped the stranger who, perhaps not knowing the layout of the buildings, eventually found himself near that of a great-aunt of Tenno, the 97-year-old princess Yuriko. It was at that point that a guardian noticed the presence of the intruder: the alarm was immediately triggered, the man was handed over to the police who arrested him for illegal entry into the imperial property. When asked why he did this, the man replied: I wanted to meet the Tenno family.

End of the adventure. But this isn’t the first time the security of the Chrysanthemum Throne has been breached. In May, another Japanese swam over the moat that protects the Chiyoda Imperial Palace, to then climb the wall and be immediately stopped in an area prohibited to the public. Even an Englishman experienced the same adventure, completely naked: his attempt stopped on the stones that make up the defensive ramp, difficult to overcome without shoes.

But perhaps the most famous intrusion into a real estate was that managed by Michael Fagan, in 1982. The man, just left by his wife and left alone to take care of the four children, super the gate of Buckingham Palace, in London, incredibly managing to reach the room where Queen Elizabeth slept. The sovereign, awakened, observed the stranger who had sat at the foot of her bed and, with typical British phlegm, asked: What are you doing here?
