Lenka Wimmerová directed the historical series Božena, which starts on January 3 on ČT1 and covered the life of the writer Božena Němcová. The main roles were given to Aňa Geislerová, Anna Kameníková, Jan Hájek, Vladimír Javorský, Lucie Žáčková, Jan Plouhar, Veronika Freimanová, Martin Myšička, Jan Budař and Kryštof Hádek.

On Friday, January 8, the thirteen-part series Kukačky will start on ČT1, telling the story of two families who exchanged a child in a maternity hospital. Directed by Biser Arichtev, who cast Marta Dancingerová, Marek Adamczyk, Sabina Remundová, David Novotný, Theo Schaefer, Klára Cibulková and Luboš Veselý.

On Monday, January 11, the eight-part crime series Filip Renč’s Jellyfish Head will begin. The central actors are the investigators of the murders from the Brno criminal detention center, which are commanded by the 35-year-old criminal investigator Karin. The symbol of the series is Rubens’ image of the same name and the individual parts are inspired by real criminal cases.
