January 12, 1976 Agatha Christie dies ᐉ News from Fakti.bg – Culture

Agatha Christie died on January 12, 1976. She is the most significant representative of classical criminal history. Her unique literary talent transcends restrictions on country, race, age, captivates and intrigues. She has published 93 novels, 17 plays, including 6 romantic short stories written under the pseudonym Mary Westmacott.

Agatha Marie Clarissa Miller was born on September 15, 1890. She claims that she was very happy as a child. In 1914 she married Archibald Christie, a pilot in the Royal Corps. During the First World War, she began writing her first novel, partly to escape the monotony of her work and partly to win a bet with her sister, who challenged her that she could not write a good crime novel.

The Mysterious Affair in Stiles was published in 1920 due to a problem finding a publisher. She divorced Archibald in 1928, and in 1930 she married archaeologist Max Malone. The curious thing about her is that she suffered from a disorder in the writing process called dysgraphia. He was also the first author to receive the Grand Master of American Mystery Writers Award. He is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the best-selling author of fiction of all time. Her works have been translated into 103 languages.
