Janssen vaccine closer to the Netherlands: ‘This is how we can catch up’

The Janssen vaccine works differently from the vaccines from Pfizer / BioNTech and Moderna. All three bring a small piece of the genetic code of the coronavirus into our cells. Pfizer / BioNTech and Moderna do this via a fat globule, Janssen and AstraZeneca use a harmless cold virus as a means of transport.

The piece of genetic code ensures that our cells produce a piece of virus protein. This protein is supposed to trigger an immune response that protects us against infection with the corona virus.
