FC Twente will start the competition on Saturday evening with a good feeling. Trainer Ron Jans is satisfied with the preparation and happy with the selection he has at his disposal.
The coach also gave the youth plenty of opportunity in the practice matches and is very pleased with their contribution. “There are a number of young players that have done very well”, Jans says in conversation The Telegraph.
“I am talking about players who were previously in the selection, such as Ramiz Zerrouki, Jesse Bosch and Godfried Roemeratoe, but also about a boy like Jayden Oosterwolde, who came from the youth”, Jans continues. “Those guys did a great job and that certainly offers perspective for the future.”
