Immediately after arriving in Prague, Janowski spoke of great injustice when, a few days ago, he lost the Polish title in a controversial way during the final duel in Leszno with the reigning world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik and promised revenge at the Grand Prix. His plan worked out perfectly, he left his compatriot far behind on Markéta, and in the end he managed to overtake even the best man of the basic schedule starting from the most advantageous inner track.
“I gathered a lot of energy and maximum desire after the shameful course of the finals in Leszno to show everyone that I am better than the reigning world champion, who overtook me with a risky maneuver beyond the rules,” Janowski said.

The Polish stars had outstanding accounts from the top domestic company in Leszno. Although Zmarzlik got the coveted domestic title there for the first time in his career, there was a lot of bad blood around it and an angry Janowski did not shake his hand on stage and refused to take part in a traditional act with champagne.
Demonstratively, he left the podium while Zmarzlik, tapping with bubbles, tapped a bottle with the third Kolodziej. “I had no reason to rejoice in anything. I was glad that I managed to stop Bartek’s elbow pushing at all. The fact that the incident went without a fall, the referee did not see a problem in the controversial actions of the opponent on the track, but I know mine, “Janowski was angry at the time.
On Friday, however, the card turned for both Poles, Janowski celebrated the triumph. “I didn’t do very well in Prague in the past, but today I felt really good. The mechanics did a great job, I had a well-set motorcycle for key rides and I’m glad it worked out that way. I really enjoyed that evening, “he said.
Embarrassment, on the other hand, was reflected in the face of the defending champion Zmarzlik, who hardly stretched to the semifinals on the Břevnov oval, where his campaign ended in Friday’s race. Out of six races on Markéta, he achieved only one victory, while last year he dominated both Grand Prix races. This year, however, Zmarzlik was unable to overtake Sajfudtinov or the Swede Lindgren in the fight to advance to the finals, but he did not keep his nerves in check in the decisive battle.
In the end, only three of them left, Lindgren was eliminated from the podium for running into the starting strip. The Czech national team member Jan Kvěch, who started on the wild card, took 13th place, when his efforts were somewhat marked by an innocent fall in the first race.
Four points from three starts still gave him hope of placing in the elite ten, but then the 19-year-old talent took zero twice in a row and the race ended for him after twenty races of the basic part. Daniel Klíma once rode as a substitute and even reached the point.
