The politician said at the event that the diaspora program is launched every year together with the Rákóczi Association, which organizes the trips, and the State Secretariat for National Policy supports them.
Ten tournaments were able to come home this year
– said János Árpád Potápi, adding: these are young people whose parents, grandparents or great-grandparents left Hungary or the Carpathian Basin.
A total of 700 young people from 32 countries participated in the program this year, this is the last tournament this year
– explained the state secretary, who addressed the young people and said: he is very happy that the students decided to travel here.
He expressed his hope that they all feel good in Budapest and see what “this country meant” to their parents and grandparents.

Csongor Csáky, the president of the Rákóczi Association, said that the diaspora program has been implemented since 2016, in which nine countries were involved in the current trip. This time, the young people came to Budapest from, among others, Argentina, New Zealand, Canada and the United Kingdom.
