Jannik Sinner: I have learned from mistakes, an important trophy for me. Now heading to Indian Wells
The native of South Tyrol adds victory number twelve in a row to equal a record achieved by Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic three times and Rafael Nadal, starting the year undefeated and adding a dozen wins.
“It means a lot to win after last year, it means that I have learned from my mistakes. It is an important trophy for me, they have always helped me. The final was difficult, I tried to stay there mentally.
I had problems with my serve, but I can’t always do everything perfectly. Now I’m going to Indian Wells,” Sinner said into the microphones of Sky Sports. “The game is won with work during the week, there is 80-90 percent of training behind a victory.
We are continuous, we have a good recovery and that makes me a better player. With my head I always go towards improvement and that brings positivity. Now I feel more confident, the results are coming. Now we are trying to arrange other details for the next tournaments,” concluded the new world number three.
